Anthony Eugene Abernathy

Anthony Eugene Abernathy, 45, of Dallas, Ga., died June 3, 2009.
Mr. Abernathy was born March 15, 1964, in Fulton County, son of Nora Jane Groover Abernathy and the late James David Abernathy. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Mickie Abernathy; a daughter, Allie Suzanne Abernathy; his mother, Nora Abernathy; a brother, Steve Abernathy; a sister, Pamela Elaine Greene; nieces, Kenna Greene, Debbie Kally, Meghan Abernathy, Nora Greene, Kayla Wilson, Jennifer McDonald and Anna Collum; nephews, Drake Collum, Dwayne Vann and Hunter Vann and Chris McDonald; great-nieces & nephews, Celeste Greene, Baylee McDonald and Ezra Parker.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday afternoon, June 7, at 2 p.m. at Providence Cemetery. Interment followed.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 2 till 4 p.m. Saturday, June 6.
Pallbearers included Tim Collum, Sean Andrews, Ray Evans, Kenny Vann, Bobby Groover and Brook Groover. Honorary Pallbearers included Drake Collum and Chris McDonald.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements for the funeral of Anthony Eugene Abernathy.
