Criminal jury trials will begin Monday in the courtrooms of Bartow County Superior Court judges Suzanne Smith and Scott Smith.
District Attorney Rosemary Greene’s office released Friday a list of cases expected to be heard this week.
According to the release, the case of Jason Dobson will be heard first in Suzanne Smith’s courtroom A. Dobson is charged with aggravated assault and terroristic threats.
More than 15 cases are listed on the “short list” for Smith’s courtroom, with charges including drug possession, stalking, theft and forgery.
In Judge Scott Smith’s courtroom D, only four cases made the list of trials expected to be heard.
The first case is that of Joseph Wooten, who is charged with four counts of homicide by vehicle in the first degree, three counts of driving under the influence, reckless driving, homicide by vehicle in the second degree, failure to yield right of way, failure to wear seat safety belt, violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
The remaining three cases include stalking charges, a drug case and a woman charged with making a false statement.
Court convenes at 9 a.m. at the Frank Moore Administration and Judicial Center, 135 W. Cherokee Ave., Cartersville.
