This month’s Business After Hours event put on by the Bartow Business and Contractors Connection with the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce will be held at United Community Bank of Cartersville, 1320 Joe Frank Harris Parkway, on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The monthly events are always held at a local business and provide attendees with opportunities to network with one another in what is intended to be a lighthearted and relaxed post-work atmosphere. They are free and open to the public.
Chamber Membership Coordinator Cheryl Hyde said that Business After Hours typically attracts a diverse set of individuals from around the community to converse with one another.
“We’re always excited about [the] Business After Hours event because it’s the one event that people come to from the community as well as the chamber, as well as consumers,” she noted. “All different kinds of people come to this event. And it is a good opportunity to exchange ideas and ... network.”

Emerson said he was looking forward to opening the business’ doors for the event because it will serve as a statement of the bank’s appreciation of the local community.
“We’re very proud to be part of Bartow County,” he stated. “We believe that this is such a positive, vibrant community for our families and our businesses and to live and to grow and to work here. We’re very blessed [and] we’re very proud to be part of our community.”
Emerson said the company also will utilize Business After Hours as an opportunity to introduce one its newest employees, mortgage originator Catherine Stephens.
The event will be catered by Johnny Mitchell’s Smokehouse. Those who attend are encouraged to bring business cards, flyers and brochures.
