Taxi altercation results in parking lot arrest at Bartow jail

On Saturday at 12:19 a.m., Bartow County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a female, who reportedly was hitting a Bartow Cab driver in the face, in the jail parking lot.

In addition to the alleged altercation, the BCSO E911 Center informed a deputy the suspect, later identified as Leticia Marie Satterfield, 30, of Cartersville, was drunk and refusing to exit the cab. Three deputies investigated the scene and found Satterfield punching the cab’s driver-side window. Advised that she was under arrest for disorderly conduct, the BCSO incident report claimed Satterfield began to struggle with deputies as they escorted her into the jail. While in the jail pat down area, law enforcement personnel found a clear baggie with a green leafy substance thought to be marijuana in her shirt’s front hoodie pocket.

Along with disorderly conduct, Satterfield also was charged with possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce and probation violation.
