Man arrested in Adairsville after chasing girlfriend with crowbar

An Adairsville man was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault Thursday afternoon following a domestic violence incident.

According to a press release from the Adairsville Police Department, Jamie Lynn Morrow, 46, of 2414 Hall Station Road, choked his girlfriend and chased her down W. George St. in Adairsville with a crowbar.

Officers were dispatched to a house on W. George St. at around 3:45 p.m. Once on scene, officers spoke to Morrow and several witnesses. Witnesses told police that Morrow was arguing with his girlfriend at a house on Hall Station Road.

Witnesses then told police Morrow chased his girlfriend on foot to a house on W. George St, where he choked her and chased her with a crowbar. According to the release, Morrow then went inside the house just before officers arrived.

Several witnessess saw the altercation and completed written statements describing the incident. The crowbar was found and collected into evidence by detectives.
