Mr. George B. Jordan, 87, of Euharlee, passed away at his residence on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012. Mr. Jordan was born in Moultrie on July 4, 1925, son of the late Robert Jordan and the late Haddie Giles Jordan. He had retired from the Albany Fire Department after many dedicated years of service as a captain. Mr. Jordan was an active man, having served as pastor for 10 years at Live Oak Baptist Church in Moultrie, and also working as a licensed real estate agent in Orlando. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 329 in Orlando.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Harper Jordan, of Euharlee; five children, Steve Jordan and Debbie Peters, both of Tampa, Fla., Sharon Jenkins of Albany, Lucy Pellicano and her husband, Tony, of Albany, and Marilyn Davis and her husband, Rodney, of Cumming; five stepdaughters, Martha Phyliss Mincey and her husband, Jerry, of Lindale, Charlene Lindahl and her husband David, of Cartersville, Penny Wynn and her husband, Lamar, of Cartersville, Connie Smith of Orlando, and Candy Cashore of Cartersville; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and numerous friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held today, Dec. 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Henderson and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Don Hattaway officiating. Graveside services with Masonic Honors will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson and Sons Funeral Home today at 10:30 a.m. and include: David Lindahl, Lamar Wynn, Jerry Mincey, Chris McCrary, Tony Pellicano and Rex Jenkins.
