Mitchell A. “Mickey” Strickland, 65, of Stanwood, Wash., formerly of Kingston, died Dec. 19, 2013.

Mr. Strickland was born April 3, 1948, a son of the late Eugene and Catherine Strickland. Mickey was employed by Boeing Air and Lockheed Air for more than 30 years as lead man on the flight line. He worked on Air Force One twice. A Vietnam veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Strickland loved fishing, his wife, children and especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Marsha Strickland; sons, Craig and Kevin Strickland; a daughter, Christie Cornell; four grandchildren; sisters and brothers and their spouses, Barbara Sue Brown, Jerry and Patricia Strickland, Tommy and Kathy Strickland, Larry and Jenny Strickland, Robert and Cissy Strickland, Davy and Candace Strickland, Cathy and J.D. Lee, and Karen Strickland.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Brown.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. from the Kingston Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Windsor officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kingston Baptist Church.
