Fresh off an 8-1 victory over Gilmer Wednesday, the Cass Lady Colonels found themselves having to go extra innings before prevailing against Cedartown, 3-2, Thursday.

"It was great to win big against Gilmer," Cass coach Kyle Clayton said. "It was even nicer that we've learned how to win the close games as well."

In the Lady Colonels' Wednesday victory, Courtney Bailey recorded the complete-game victory while striking out seven. Hit support came from Bethany Ballard, who went 4-for-4 with a double and a triple and accounted for four RBIs.
