The Adairsville Tigers defeated North Murray in a barn burner at Mountaineer Stadium, 70-55.

The first half of play between Adairsville and North Murray on Friday night was almost too much excitement for an entire game. By halftime both teams had combined for 10 touchdowns and split the difference, leaving the game tied at 35 apiece.

The beginning of the game started in favor of Adairsville. Within two minutes of the first quarter, following a fumbled punt by North Murray, the Tigers already put up their first touchdown through the air.

Though Brady Swilling of North Murray was able to soon counter by breaking out a 75-yard touchdown run, the Tigers were scoring at will against the Mountaineers. Whether it was through the air or on the ground, the Tigers were clicking on all cylinders.

At the 11-minute mark in the second quarter, North Murray was down 28-7.

However, at the 8-minute mark in the second quarter, the tide would turn in favor of the Mountaineers. Hinton McConkey along with Christian Buckle, Swilling and Jacob Mays would rally the Mountaineers back in the game.
