BETTER STARTS: Adairsville head coach Jim Kremer believes his young Tigers must learn how to start better in their games if they are to finish better against teams like Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe.

“We’re not starting the game off very well on defense. We’ve got perhaps one of the best kickers in the region [Dakota Hines] and we always open it up with the 20. We’ve got to find ways to help us out.”

Hines was effective in the game, repeatedly finding the end zone with his booming kickoffs and forcing the Warriors to play on a long field. Hines also notched the game’s first field goal, an impressive 38-yarder that signaled the Tigers (2-2, 0-1 in Region 5-AAA) were ready to battle four quarters without regard to whether they might happen to be trailing against their 5-AAA foe.
