Manager Marvin Neal said the team had hoped to win the Dizzy Dean World Series championship, but he remained proud of their performance in the postseason.
"We had our chances in the last couple of games we played," he said. "We had too many mental mistakes in our two losses.
"I am very proud of our guys. They have nothing to be ashamed of and can hold their heads up high. Out of 16 teams competing, to finish third overall is very special."
Neal went on to thank coaches Jeff Hill and Robbie Carlton for the work they did with the team and also the parents of their team for their support.
