According to Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap and Cartersville Police Chief Tommy Culpepper, agents Tuesday ended a monthlong investigation by arresting Susannah M. Monarchik and Candace Hutchinson Martel for trafficking in methamphetamine. Agents seized over 28 grams of methamphetamine.
Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force Deputy Cmdr. Lt. J.L. Cheek said agents arranged and purchased methamphetamine from Martel and Monarchik.
During the course of the investigation, agents learned that Monarchik is the president and CEO of Pay It Forward Inc. a nonprofit corporation, the website of which, payitforwardinc.org, lists it as a residential substance abuse program in the Atlanta area.
Culpepper and Millsap said agents are still following information gathered during the investigation and expect more arrests in the near future.
Martel, 39, of 118 Plantation Trace, Woodstock, was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.
Monarchik, 35, of 2315 Milstead Circle, Marietta, was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and unlawful use of a communication facility.
