6 Braves earn hits in Little League win

Six Braves got one hit each as they led the Colts to a 6-4 victory Monday in Cartersville Little League play.

Leading the Braves were Garett Cornett, one hit with a run; Bradley Sutton, a double and a run; Taylor McDaniel, a hit and a run; Landen Woods, a hit, a walk and a run; Christian O'Dell, a double with an RBI; Mitch Brown, a hit and a run; Brody Faulk, a walk and a run; Braden Shultz, hit by pitch; and Crawford Taylor, a walk.

Tanner Jordan threw three innings and fanned two while Taylor McDaniel went three innings and whiffed six.

The Colts were led offensively by Seth Smith, two hits with a run; Trenton Lowery, two hits with a run; Parker Cagle, a hit with a run; Tyler Friedrich, a double and a walk; Chris Mills, a walk; Connor Wall, a walk, and Andy Sims, a walk.

Parker Cagle worked three innings and struck out four while Britton Rice was on the mound two innings with six strikeouts.

Phillies 8, Indians 4

The Phillies broke open a 4-all time by scoring four runs in the 7th inning to claim an 8-4 victory over the Indians.

The Phillies were led offensively by Jake Hacker, three hits with two runs; Khase Willis, two hits, hit by pitch, and two runs; Dayne Roberts, two hits with a double and a run; Austin Davis, a double with an RBI; Bailey Belisario, a hit with two walks and a run; Jake Norris, a hit with two RBIs; Blane Belisario, a hit, hit by pitch and a run; and Josh Holmes, a walk and a run.

Jake Hacker punched in five innings with seven strikeouts, Nick Root worked an inning and Bailey Belisario threw three innings and fanned two.

For the Indians, Hunter James garnered two hits with a run, two RBIs; Noah Daniel had one hit and two walks; Dax Edwards, one hit with a walk and a run; Jacob Gambill, one hit with a walk and a run; Jordan Vinall, one hit with a walk and an RBI; Bailey Campbell, a run and a walk; Thacker Lively, two walks.

Bailey Campbell struck out six over three innings, Thacker Lively worked two innings with three strikeouts and Noah Daniel pitched three innings and whiffed four.

Tigers 11, Crackers 1

Jake Cooper and Grant Harris scattered six hits, struck out six and allowed one run and then provided much of the offensive muscle as the Tigers whipped the Crackers, 11-1, Tuesday.

Harris had three hits, scored two runs and had an RBI, while Cooper had two hits with two walks, a run and two RBIs. The game was called after five innings due to the 10-run rule.

Also collecting hits were Tate Mathis, one hit with a walk, two runs and two RBIs; John Reed Evans, one hit with two walks, two runs and an RBI; Nick Pedrick, one hit with a walk and an RBI; JP Pritchett, one hit with a run and an RBI; Gage Morris, two RBIs; Garrett Garside, two walks and a run; Noah Davis, a walk and a run; Dominique Williams, a walk and a run.

Cooper pitched four innings with strikeouts and Harris threw for one inning and collected two strikeouts.

The Crackers were led by Josh Mayo, two hits; Thomas Watkins, one hit with a run; Preston Martin, one hit with an RBI; Blake Adams, one hit; Austin Lunde, one hit; and Benjamin Ammons, a walk.

Josh Mayo threw for two innings and whiffed five; Thomas Watkins, three innings with three strikeouts; and Gabriel Gridley, one inning.

Padres 8, Dodgers 7

Brycen Jones hit a 3-run shot in the top of the first inning, and Trevor Lawrence answered with a two-run home in the bottom of the frame as the Padres beat the Padres, 8-7.

Rodrick Winburn added a solo HR in the third inning.

The Padres were led at the plate by Jones, who accounted for three hits, including his homer, plus a walk, a run and three RBIs; Jacob Frye tallied two hits with a walk and two runs; LaDarius Winburn had two hits with a double, a walk and a run; Rodrick Winburn, a homer, a run and an RBI; Sean Holton, a hit and two runs; Brant Smith, a hit and a run.

Frye threw five innings and struck out six; Jones worked two innings with four strikeouts and Smith worked an inning.

The Dodgers were paced by Trevor Lawrence, two hits with a homer, two runs, two RBIs; Curtis Wilkes, a double with a run and an RBI; Spencer Dickey, a hit and a run; Max Rohland, a hit with a double and an RBI; Preston Welchel, two walks and two runs; and Trey Harkins, a run.

Thomas Jolly worked three innings and fanned two; Spencer Dickey got in two innings and whiffed four; Trevor Lawrence worked three innings with four strikeouts; and Austin Clark, one inning with one strikeout.
