Adairsville woman's death under investigation

An autopsy has been requested for a 40-year-old woman found dead Saturday at her Adairsville residence.

Adairsville police responded to a call at 96 Barnsley Village Drive. The victim was identified as Traci Winkler, formally of Chatsworth.

No foul play is suspected, and the death remains under investigation.

Numerous cars vandalized

Visitors to Lake Allatoona Monday were victims of vehicle vandalism.

According to a Bartow County deputy, at least six cars parked off the roadway near North Main Street had their vehicles' tires slashed with a sharp object. According to an incident report, the deputy was not able to see damage to all tires because some of the victims had already changed their tires.

Adairsville police are investigating a burglary that occurred at Ford's Pharmacy early Friday morning.

At least $1,200 in prescription medication was stolen from the pharmacy. Investigators are following up on all leads and ask anyone with information to contact the Adairsville Police Department Investigative Division at 770-773-7778.

Cartersville police are investigating a claim from a man who said he was threatened through a Facebook message. The complainant said he was in a dispute with another person who threatened to kill him.

The complainant said he would like to press charges against the suspect. He told the officer that he could print the message off the computer if needed.
