Adairsville had an edge in experience both in regular season and playoffs, and Manchester was subjected to the experience of ending up on the wrong side of two lopsided games Friday at Tiger Valley.

The Tigers, behind the one-hit pitching of ace Jamey Barnes, won the first game, 14-0.

Adairsville claimed the second contest, 15-0, as Cody Kremer allowed no hits and struck out four over two innings and Trey Gulledge gave up three hits and struck out four over two innings.

The Tigers, the No. 1 seed out of Region 7-AA, will host the next round of the state playoffs Wednesday with the time to be announced later.

Adairsville plays the winner of the Blessed Trinity vs. North Oconee matchup. Blessed Trinity is the Region 6 No. 2 seed and North Oconee is the Region 8 No. 3 seed.
