Annie Belle Hulsey Tierce, 88, of Anderson Valley Road, McLeonville, N.C., and formerly of Cartersville, passed away Sunday morning in North Carolina.

Mrs. Tierce was born May 22, 1923, in Bartow County, daughter of the late Rufus Hackett and Jenny Whitener Hackett. She was a member of Iron Mountain Baptist Church and was retired from Goodyear Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Hulsey; children, Barbara Marshall and Diane Hulsey; a grandson, Lee Prather.

Survivors include her children, Leroy and Michelle Tierce of N.C., Jean Ball of N.C., Jane and Coleman Cochran, Vicky and Emanuel Sims, Anna Hulsey Nettles; 19 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Cathy Davis of N.C.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, May 2, at 3 p.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shawn Abernathy, Rev. Charles Garrett and Rev. Michael Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Wofford's Crossroad Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Ricky Chambers, Shayne Taylor, Cory Lovingood, Brandon Hulsey, Braxton Lovingood and Donnie Abernathy.
