Born in Rockmart, he was the son of the late John Allen Robinson and the late Mina Watts Robinson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha Atkins Robinson; five brothers; three sisters; and a son-in-law, David Shook. Mr. Robinson was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Heath Robinson; his daughters and son-in-law, Helen Shook and Dot and Johnny Hale, all of Cartersville; his stepdaughter, Joan Nutter and her husband John; his grandchildren, Linda Bruce, Patti and Bob Bailey, Holly and Bill Bishop, and John and Jimmi Hale; his great-grandchildren, Corey Long, Rachael and B.J. Nation, Heather and Jason Bargsley, Leigha Bishop, Will Hale, and Jackson Hale; his great-great-grandchildren, Reese Nation, Anika Nation and Kaden Bargsley; and his siblings, Ruby and Jack Smith, Kathleen Atkins, Aliese Robinson, Jamie Robinson, and Arzilla Robinson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. David Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens with Rev. Benny Thomas in charge of the committal service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
