Four buildings containing multiple offices were evacuated, including the Georgia Department of Labor Cartersville Career Center.
Bartow County Sheriff's Office deputies brought in a K-9 unit trained in detecting explosives. When the K-9 alerted on a vending machine a Georgia Bureau of Investigation bomb disposal team was called for further assistance. Explosives were not found and the building was cleared just before 3 p.m.
The area has been reopened to public access as an investigation continues to find the caller.
