Bartow schools' Post 5 seat to appear in court

The Bartow Tea Party on Thursday filed a writ of quo warranto against Bartow County Board of Education member Anna Sullivan, who was appointed to the District 5 seat in February. The civil action challenges the legality of Sullivan's appointment.

Specifically, the board is asked "... to show by what specific constitutional or statutory provision she is now lawfully in possession of the Post 5 office as a member of the Board of Education of Bartow County, Georgia." The subpoena calls for Sullivan to appear in court on Wednesday, June 13.
