Students at Chattahoochee Technical College are joining in the efforts of helping with disaster relief.

The school's Public Safety Club, partnering with law enforcement agencies, is hosting a food drive through Friday. Boxes are placed on each campus for donations of canned food, laundry detergent and toiletries.

Commercial truck driving instructors for the college also have pitched in, hauling tarps from GEMA to storm victims in Pickens, Bartow and Polk counties.
