Cartersville High's 7-on-7 football team never intended for its trip to Bradenton, Fla., last weekend to serve as a mini-vacation, resisting the urge to bask in the sunshine for the opportunity to bask in the glory of a national championship -- which the Purple Hurricanes did Sunday after winning the high school division of the IMG Madden 7-on-7 National Championships.
