Lady Tigers 4, Sonoraville 1
Ever since Adairsville lost big to Sonoraville last season, the Lady Tigers have had this year’s soccer match against the Phoenix circled on the calendar for nearly an entire year.
“They [the Phoenix] beat us pretty bad last year,” Adairsville coach David Sexauer said. “A year later, this turned out to be a soccer match that you wanted to win no matter what time of the season you played them.”
Playing on a home field dotted with small puddles of water, Adairsville waited until the 27th minute of the first half to break a scoreless tie.
