The city of Cartersville is set this week to continue fire hydrant testing on the following schedule for the following streets:

June 5

This process should not cause any inconvenience to the public, however, testing the hydrants does occasionally stir up some sediment in the pipes, causing some minor discoloration. If this occurs, the water is still safe for drinking. It is recommended, though, that the water be run until it is clear prior to washing any laundry.
