Nearly 20 individual and hotel awards were presented to hotels chosen from the brand's portfolio of more than 500 hotels worldwide. The Hilton Garden Inn Cartersville was recognized as winning a 2011 Hilton Success Award for being in the top 5 percent of all Hilton Garden Inns worldwide.

The top hotel awards were presented based on year-end scores and results from the Hilton Garden Inn Balanced Scorecard, a tool used by the brand to measure and track overall performance of each Hilton Garden Inn hotel in various key performance indicators, including the satisfaction and loyalty tracking survey, quality assurance, and brand management and product standards.
The Hilton Garden Inn Cartersville also was named HP Hotels 2011 Hotel of the Year under the leadership of General Manager Josh Morey. The Cartersville hotel also was home to 2011 Director of Sales of the Year, Cartersville HGI Director of Sales Michele Sims. Earlier in 2011, Cartersville HGI was recognized as Hotel of the Year by the Cartersville-Bartow County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The Hilton Garden Inn Cartersville is operated by HP Hotels Inc., under a license agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation. The 108-room Hilton property opened in September 2009.
