A Cartersville man was a winner in last week's lottery. Bobby Dunegan, 61, matched all five winning numbers in the June 7 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $168,996 jackpot prize.

Dunegan and his wife, Pam, intend to pay off their home mortgage and car note.

Winning numbers from the June 7 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 6-10-14-25-31. Country Corner, 426 Hamilton Crossing Road N.W. in Cartersville, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket.

Dunegan said he checked his numbers on the Georgia Lottery's website.

"I had to look about 10 or 15 times. I couldn't believe it," he said. "When I woke my wife up, she couldn't believe it either."

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $12.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program. More than 1.3 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
