Cass girls 3rd win tops last year’s total

Three wins may not seem like a significant amount to most coaches, especially when 11 games have already been played.

But when a girls basketball team won only two games the season before, victory number three on the current season denotes a marked improvement.

The Cass Lady Colonels won their third game of the 2012-13 season Friday afternoon by defeating Lake Worth (Fla.) Christian, 56-33, in the consolation round of the Monterrey’s/Wingstop Christmas tournament. Cass lost its opening round game to McIntosh Christian Academy, 53-39, the day before.
