Almost 20 cases were listed as potential priority cases when Bartow County Superior Court convenes Monday.

Cherokee Judicial Circuit District Attorney Rosemary Greene released Friday a list of criminal cases for Judge David Smith and Judge Shepherd Howell’s courtroom expected to sound first.

For Smith’s court, the following — in no particular order — are priority cases for jury trial:

• Marshall Dalton Palma — two counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation.

• April Dawn Combes — possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of firearm during the commission of a felony.

• Derek John Mezack — possession of meth with intent to distribute and possession of firearm during the commission of a felony.

• Melissa Sue Gentry — possession of marijuana with intent to distribute in violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of cocaine VGCSA, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance VGCSA, pills not in original container, possession of drug-related object.

• David Michael Jones — possession of marijuana with intent to distribute in violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of cocaine VGCSA, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance VGCSA, pills not in original container, possession of drug-related object.

• Jeffrey Scott Perry — driving while license revoked.

• Gary Cicero Vick — crossing the guard; sale, possession, distribution of dangerous drugs.

• Michael Lamont Utley — driving under the influence and failure to maintain lane.

• Jeramya Truman Laughridge — two counts of driving under the influence.

• Jimmy Curtis Ogle — driving under the influence, driving without a license, failure to maintain lane, operating a vehicle without insurance and open container.

• John Trametheus Green — driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane and no tag.

• James David Ledbetter — two counts of driving under the influence and failure to maintain lane.

• Carolina Jane Lane — driving under the influence, violation of duty upon striking fixed object and open container.

• Michael Anthony Gosnell — theft by deception and theft by receiving stolen property.

• Randall Shaun Carter — theft by taking.

• Peggy Jane Coster — possession of meth, obstruction of an officer, possession of a drug-related object, driving with expired license and window tint violation.

For Howell’s court, the following — in no particular order — are priority cases for jury trial:

• Yvonne Irene Alexander — kidnapping with bodily injury, kidnapping, cruelty to children — deprivation of necessary sustenance in the first degree, robbery, aggravated assault, first-degree burglary, battery.

• Austin Kyle Hernandez — kidnapping with bodily injury, kidnapping, cruelty to children — deprivation of necessary sustenance in the first degree, robbery, aggravated assault, first-degree burglary, battery.

• Vernon Edroy Nisbett — kidnapping with bodily injury, kidnapping, cruelty to children — deprivation of necessary sustenance in the first degree, robbery, aggravated assault, first-degree burglary, battery.

• Glenn Voice Payton — kidnapping with bodily injury, kidnapping, cruelty to children — deprivation of necessary sustenance in the first degree, robbery, aggravated assault, first-degree burglary, battery and theft by deception.

• Donald Strickland — aggravated sexual battery — special presentment, aggravated child molestation, aggravated child molestation — special presentment, attempted aggravated child molestation — special presentment, two counts of child molestation, first-degree cruelty to children — special presentment, simple battery — special presentment and enticing a child for indecent purposes.

• Erick Marcial Luna Argueta — possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and hindering law officer.

• Lekendric Quantavius Young — possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, hindering of an officer, driving while license suspended or revoked, giving false name to law enforcement officer, motor vehicle registration violation and failure to appear.

• Anthony Dewayne Davis — driving under the influence, driving under the influence less safe and open container violation.

• Samantha Ann Allison — possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, drugs not in original container, marijuana possession less than an ounce, possession of drug-related object.
