City of White holds meeting tonight

The City of White tonight will hold a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. at city hall to provide information and acquaint the public with the city's proposed phase II wastewater system improvements.

Immediately following the public meeting at 7 p.m. will be the regular White City Council meeting.

Old business on the agenda includes the following:

City engineer John Sweitzer will discuss new filtration system for well I and well II as well as the replacement of the water line on School Street.

The city will vote for the approval of a sign for city hall to be located at Hwy. 411 and West Rocky Street.

The city will vote to reappoint David Richards and Gary Crisp to the planning commission for two-year terms and William Darby for a one-year term.

New business includes discussing building a pole shed for storing city equipment.

"This will be a SPLOST project," city manager Jane Richards said.

The city also will present a plaque to EagleSportz to recognize their Small Business of the Year award from the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce.
