Authorities on Wednesday confirmed the number of people arrested in connection with Tuesday's raid at a Cartersville pain clinic.

Capt. Mark Mayton, head of the Cartersville-Bartow County Drug Task Force, said via phone that 11 people were arrested in the incident at Atlanta Medical Group, 16 Collins Drive.

Mayton deferred all questions to the U.S. Attorney's Office, and declined to comment or answer any further questions.

The media intake report provided by the Bartow County Sheriff's Office Wednesday listed 11 people arrested Tuesday by DTF K9 officers. Those arrested were from Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio, and face charges related to prescription medications.

The raid, which occurred about 9 a.m., was the result of a yearlong investigation, according to Cartersville Police Chief Tommy Culpepper.

Agents from the Cartersville-Bartow County Drug Task Force, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration and possibly others were involved in the execution of warrants, Culpepper said.

Car stolen from driveway

A woman's vehicle was stolen from her driveway Monday night at 7 Parmenter St. in Cartersville. The victim described the car as a black 2010 Kia Forte, four-door, tag number BPB 4230.

Originally, the woman believed that it had been repossessed, but no repossession reports were filed with either the Cartersville Police Department or the Bartow County Sheriff's Office. No suspects are known at this time.
