Currently, a third-party affiliate is contacting area businesses on behalf of The Daily Tribune to take part in the NIE program. NIE sponsorship is a low-cost, high-value way to give back to the community. Sponsorships help schools stretch their budgets and meet literacy requirements.
Three levels of sponsorship are available to interested businesses. The gold level sponsor, for a $1,000 contribution, will provide more than 8,000 newspapers to area classrooms in the next year, along with receiving a large logo in a monthly thank-you ad for one year. At the silver level, which is a $500 contribution, more than 4,000 newspapers will be provided over the course of the coming year. The silver contribution also includes a small logo in the monthly thank-you ad for one year. A bronze level -- or $300 contribution -- sponsor provides more than 2,400 newspapers to area classrooms for one year. Bronze sponsors are recognized in the monthly thank-you ad for an entire school year.
Contributions provide each child in the sponsored classroom with a personal copy of the newspaper or the e-edition and teachers receive lesson plans and other teaching tools at no cost to the school or teacher.
