Elaine Whitener Boston, 55, of Hillhouse Drive, Calhoun, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012.

Mrs. Boston was born July 16, 1956 in Bartow County, the daughter of the late David and Maggie (Ray) Whitener.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Luthe, L.G. and Ronnie Whitener; and four sisters, Bertie Mae Mashburn, Frances Brookshire, Patsy Nichols and Evanell Whitener.

Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Timmy Parker of Calhoun; a grandson, Tyler Parker; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Jean and Jerry Huskins of White, Toni and Doug Vernon of Cartersville, Bobbie Fox of Tennessee, Bernice and Herman Lee of Cartersville; a sister-in-law, Violet Whitener of Rydal and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 8, at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Vernon and Rev. Keith Willard officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rydal.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Tim Henson, Brandon and Brett Owens Steven Parker Rob Turner and Daniel Vernon.
