Continuing improvements to Euharlee's ball fields and changes to ordinances were the highlights of the city council's regularly scheduled work session Tuesday night.

Ron Goss presented issues among the zoning ordinance regarding the commission as a whole after the group merged with the planning board. An amendment to the ordinance clarifies the role, voting standards and general operating procedures of the zoning commission. The council requested further clarification on payment and reimbursement for the board and is expected to review the changes at their next meeting.

Bids from contractors to repair the sidewalks in the Ferguson Fields subdivision were submitted to the council to improve 18 areas where the concrete has broken.

City Manager Trish Sullivan shared artwork for a sign at the new Li'l Rob Taylor ball field. The council had no objections to the colors or design but debate occurred when questioning placement of the sign. During discussion a decision was reached to anchor the sign to the back of the dugout designating the field.
