The Cartersville Police Department has released a report detailing the March 21 fatal motor vehicle accident resulting in the death of Doc Stovall, Booth Western Art Museum's entertainment and sponsorship manager.

According to the report, the surviving driver said he had a green light and proceeded through the Felton Road and Tennessee Street intersection without seeing Stovall before striking his vehicle on the driver's side. A witness told the responding officer that Stovall had the green light, not the other driver, and he had just begun to enter the intersection when the light turned green.

CPD's accident investigation yielded that the survivor struck Stovall on the driver's side and the survivor's vehicle had extensive damage to the front. Stovall's vehicle had extensive damage to the driver's side. The other driver had injuries to his left hand but refused emergency medical treatment. Stovall was transported to Cartersville Medical Center and was pronounced dead on arrival.

The incident remains under investigation and the surviving driver has not yet faced any charges related to the accident.
