Saturday night a deputy from the Bartow County Sheriff's Office reported to a domestic dispute on Elm Drive in regards to aggravated stalking and criminal trespassing. The complainant stated that he and his son had engaged in an argument via telephone earlier in the evening, during which the son became violently angry and arrived at his father's residence. Once on the property, the son kicked in the front door, instigating further arguments. The complainant stated that the dispute was then moved outside the home and his son began damaging the victim's vehicle with a shovel. The vehicle was observed to have several dents, scratches and a shattered back window. After speaking with the victim, the reporting deputy discovered that a special condition bond for the complainant's son to maintain a distance and any communications with the victim had been previously obtained. The complainant's son was not present at the scene and had been arrested at a separate location on other charges before the deputy's arrival. However, warrants have been issued for the young man pertaining to this incident as well.

Man's aggression directed towards three victims

An officer was dispatched to a scene on Glade Road in Acworth involving an angry subject terrorizing a young woman and several others. According to the deputy's report, Saturday evening a young man had engaged in a physical altercation with the female's boyfriend in the middle of the street, hit the back end of the woman's vehicle with his own repeatedly after following her and busted a window to a home where he had previously resided. Witnesses, and the young woman, stated that the man had driven into the woman's vehicle, exited his vehicle when she stopped and punched her vehicle's window before returning to his own and continuing to follow her to another location nearby. The victim's boyfriend rushed to her aid, which initiated the physical altercation. Further angered, the aggressor arrived at his prior residence and punched the window, frightening the homeowner into discharging a firearm into the air. Witnesses confirmed the victim's account and the man was taken into custody on multiple charges, including driving under the influence and a previous outstanding warrant.

Woman offers favors to local men

Saturday morning a BCSO officer arrived at a convenience store on Cass White Road in reference to a prostitution complaint. The complainant stated that a middle-aged white female approached him, asking if he desired company and to be allowed inside his vehicle to avoid the cold temperatures outside. The complainant refused the woman's offers, but observed her approach other vehicles and speak to drivers, one of whom opened the door to let her into his vehicle.

Materialistic desires flare tempers among friends

A violent dispute between a young man and his friend on Henry Mack Hill Road led to the presence of a deputy in a private residence Saturday night. The victim stated that he confronted the offender while he and his family were watching a sporting event with the offender's family. Both men claimed the other had stolen a cell phone charger belonging to one of them. The families observed the two, apparent friends, enter the offender's bedroom, and shortly after both males exiting, one angry and the other injured. A young girl, sister to the offender, attempted to calm her brother down before he re-entered the residence. He then became more intensely angered and punched her as well, knocking her unconscious for several minutes. The offender's father held the young man down until law enforcement arrived. Both victims were treated and cleared by EMS, although the young girl was transported to Floyd Medical Center for a possible concussion. The offender was transported to Rome Y.D.C without further incident to others or himself.

Stolen vehicle chased by young man on four-wheeler

In the early hours of Sunday morning an officer was dispatched to a suspected theft involving a vehicle on Highway 20 Spur. The complainant, who was later observed as extremely intoxicated, stated that the vehicle was listed as stolen and he followed the driver on his four-wheeler. The driver wrecked the truck and fired numerous shots toward the complainant before fleeing the scene as the complainant called for assistance. Upon the officer's arrival the complainant stated that his friend also followed the vehicle via four-wheeler, but this claim was later denied by said friend. Owner of the vehicle, and victim of the crime, believes his son removed the truck from the residence and wrecked it. The vehicle was located, turned over in a ditch, with missing keys. The complainant, a minor in possession of alcohol, was taken into custody and transported to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office.
