“Our career centers are open to the public and provide a myriad of services and resources for those looking for employment,” Elaine Armstrong, director of public relations for Goodwill of North Georgia, said. “Some of the resources include computers with internet access and résumé building tools, job boards filled with openings in the local community and a team of professionals who are available to help job seekers find open positions. Each career center also holds a number of seminars and training opportunities.”
Attending employers include Bartow County Sheriff’s Office; Alorica; 2Work Staffing; Ashton Staffing; TI Automotive; Hays State Prison; Morgan Corporation; It Works! Global; NOTS Logistics; and Place Smart Agency.
Employers will be looking to fill positions range from forklift operators to nutrition assistants. For a full list, visit http://goodwillng.org/About-Us/News/Goodwill-Cartersville-Career-Center-to-Host-Multi.aspx.
“Job fair attendees should arrive in professional interview attire and bring several copies of their résumés,” Armstrong said. “If anyone needs help creating or updating their résumé we invite them to visit our career center prior to next week’s event so we can help them put it together before they meet with employers.”
