Higher temperatures mean a busy season for both county and Cartersville city fire personnel.

A small grass fire in Pine Log erupted Sunday. Although no injuries were reported, the dry heat and few calls for rain create popular scenarios for fires.

The cause for an outbuilding fire at 18 Country Lane in Cartersville has not been determined. No injuries were reported for this incident either, but multiple trucks from the nearby Station 1 responded, prepared to handle the blaze should the situation magnify.
