He was born in Rome, Jan. 27, 1948, son of the late Jessie L. and Daphene Adcock Pasley. Mr. Pasley enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren, fishing and watching NASCAR and Westerns. He had worked at Union Carbide and Daiki and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Olivia Faith Pasley.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Cheryl Smith Pasley of Adairsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Mark Allison of Adairsville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Christy Pasley of Adairsville and Jody and Nikki Pasley of Adairsville; a brother, Rev. Ed and Maybelle Pasley of Rockmart; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Manuel Gilbert of Calhoun and Wanda and Scott Hale of Cassville; seven grandchildren, Tanya and Courtney Allison, Jesse, Samantha, and Jacob Pasley, Lauren Pasley and Taylor Jenkins; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. at Snow Springs Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Ed Pasley and Rev. Michael Pasley officiating. Interment will follow in Snow Springs Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour. Pallbearers include Josh Jackson, Scott and Eric Brasington, Kerry and Grant Smith, Dwayne and Anthony Gilbert, Todd and Michael Pasley and Jamie Hall.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home.
