She was born June 2, 1970, in Rome, Ga., daughter of Lawrence Daniel Abernathy and the late Carol Elaine "Bo" Woodring Abernathy. Mrs. McCrory was a loving mother who enjoyed being a "Ball Mom," attending all of her children's sporting events, and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Hall Station Road in Adairsville.
She was employed as a pharmacy tech at CVS Pharmacy and was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine "Bo" Abernathy; her grandparents Lawrence and Inez Abernathy and Richard and Isabelle Woodring; and a special aunt, Edna Cox.
Survivors include her husband, William Lee McCrory Sr. of Kingston; a daughter, Adrienne Danielle McFarland of Fairmount; three sons, Joseph Daniel McCrory of Adairsville, William Lee McCrory Jr. and Casey Toliver McCrory, both of Kingston; father, Danny Abernathy of Adairsville; a sister and brother-in-law, Jeanna and Tracy Edwards; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Minister Richard Blalock officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a trust fund for her children at Northside Bank, Adairsville.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Jill McCrory.
