He was born in Marietta on Sept. 15, 1957, the son of the late Charles Harrison Fricks and the late Martha Ellen McVey Fricks. He moved to this area from Jonesboro about 15 years ago and was employed by Alexander Produce Company. He was a member of the Oak Hill Church of God of Prophesy.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Darrell Fricks and his wife, Kathy, of Temple; Martha Lynn O'Grady and her husband, David, of Temple; Charles Steven Fricks of Gainesville, and Debra Gail Turner and her husband, Robert, of Talking Rock; three daughters, Mary Ann Fricks, Joann Fricks and Martha Fricks -- all of Bartow County; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 3:30 p.m. from the Oak Hill Church of God of Prophesy in Temple with Brother Barry George officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 2 to 8 p.m.
