Lady ’Cats end tourney with 3 wins

Day 2 of the Allatoona Buccaneer Bash softball tournament proved to be tougher for Woodland — as expected against some worthy opponents. The Lady Wildcats — playing at Lassiter, one of the various tournament sites — dropped two games on Saturday, sandwiching a win between those losses.

Woodland fell to Lassiter, 6-3, to open the day and ended it with an 8-0 loss to Class AAAA’s No. 5-ranked Northwest Whitfield Lady Bruins. The Lady Wildcats squeezed in a victory in the middle of the day, 9-4 over Jackson County.
