Lady Tigers fall to River Ridge

Adairsville held its own in the early going but then River Ridge got going and defeated the Lady Tigers, 8-0, in high school soccer Thursday night.

The two teams were slow out of the box until River Ridge found the net for its first goal in the 12th minute, then followed up with scores in the 13th and 15th minute for an early 3-0 lead.

River Ridge added two more goals later in the period and led at the break, 5-0.

It added to that total in the 52nd, 62nd and 72nd minute to close out scoring.

The loss drops the Lady Tigers' record to 2-3 overall, 0-1 in Region 7A-AA.

Adairsville's next game is Monday, when it visits Mt. Zion with game time at 5 p.m.
