Born July 29, 1936, she was a lifelong resident of Cartersville and was the daughter of the late Sterling Joe Lee and the late Mary Hufstetler Lee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Harris; her brothers, Willard Lee, James Lee, and Billy Lee; and her sisters, Donna Chitwood and Geneva Day.
Lillie had retired from Maybank as a twister operator. She was no stranger to hard work and loved her family. Lillie was the last surviving member of the gospel group The Lee's, and she was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Terry Pruitt; her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sandra Harris; her son, Gary Harris; her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Rocky Scott; her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Joe Vandall; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Hermie and Bernice Lee and Bobby and Amy Lee; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and James Mullinax; a special niece and nephew, Johnni and Ricky Blasengame; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Mike Ware officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Bethany Cemetery at Red Top Mountain.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Blasengame, Harvey Pruitt, Keith Day, Eddie Mullinax, Hubert Lee, and Neil Ledbetter. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 p.m. on Thursday.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
