Amber Litteral scored the 13th shutout of her season against Sonoraville in a game in which the Lady Tigers offense scored eight goals.
The victory improved Adairsville’s overall record to 15-1 and its region record to 12-1.
Starting scoring for Adairsville was Pittman, who opened scoring off a Katie Lawhorn cross in the third minute of their game.
In the 34th minute, Katelyn Webster scored off a Sidnee Whelchel assist to give Adairsville a 2-0 lead.
In the 39th minute, Pittman scored her second goal when Aimee Pacheco crossed and she buried it in the net, as the Lady Tigers took a 3-0 lead into halftime.
Pittman tallied her third goal in the 46th minute off an assist from Emily Sexauer.
In the 58th Karen Rodriguez scored off a chip shot from about 24 yards with an assist from Sydney Sumners in the 58th minute.
Summers scored off a rebound in the game’s 61st minute for a 6-0 lead.
In the 66th minute, Lawhorn scored her team’s seventh goal from 18 yards out.
The final goal was tallied by Sexauer off a 20-yard free kick.
Lance Hall, assistant coach, said Sexauer’s performance was even more notable because she won the region track 3200-meter run earlier and then drove to the Thursday soccer match to play for the Lady Tigers.
“She had a goal and an assist,” Hall said. “That’s just incredible.”
