An operator with the Cartersville GSP post said Dawson's vehicle ran a stop sign around 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Ga. 113 and Taff Road, and was struck by an oncoming car. Five other people were injured in the crash, but the operator had no further information on the seriousness of those injuries.
