Bartow County sheriff's deputies arrested a man Saturday after the man made threats and wielded a drill.

According to the incident report, Jeremy Crumpton, 26, of 11 Blue Bird Circle, White, became irate while working on a boat with a family member. Crumpton said the two men argued and the other man threw a drill, striking him in the head.

Witnesses said the two men argued and Crumpton was asked to go inside and cool off. Crumpton allegedly went in and came back out, and began yelling and making threats toward the other man. He reportedly picked up a power drill and started swinging the tool over his head by the cord. According to the report, the cord wrapped around Crumpton's head and the drill struck him in the head.

A witness reportedly made several statements about being afraid of Crumpton during the altercation.

Crumpton was arrested and charged with simple assault in violation of the Family Violence Act.
