About 10 p.m. Monday a Bartow County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a Pecan Lane residence in reference to a man stabbed in the chest, according to an incident report. Upon arrival, EMS had already begun providing care for the victim, who was strapped in the ambulance.

The deputy met with the complainant, who advised the victim rode to her house on a bicycle and was bleeding through his shirt, stating someone stabbed him.

She identified a suspect by a photo on the deputy’s county laptop and advised the victim had been at the suspect’s house the night the incident occurred.

The deputy asked dispatch to have the Acworth Police Department en route to the location, and upon arrival, he gave them all the collected information and transferred the investigation to them.

The victim was transported to Cartersville Medical Center by Bartow EMS.

Check found on roadside

On Sunday morning, a BCSO deputy was dispatched to 53 Nally Road, Rydal, in reference to a found check totaling $10,117, according to an incident report.

The report states just after 11 a.m. the deputy met with the complainant who stated her grandson found the check on the side of Nally Road near their residence the day before and held onto the check while he and his brother went fishing, giving the complainant the check in the morning.

The deputy took possession of the check, written from Raja Foods Atlanta LLC to Versacold Logistics LLC and entered the evidence as property, as both businesses were closed for the weekend.
