Sgt. J. Davenport with the Georgia State Patrol said a pickup truck was traveling southbound on Highway 113, and when it left the road, the driver "overcorrected" causing the vehicle to overturn and eject passengers.
Also in the vehicle was Eulon Yother of Taylorsville. He was flown to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Davenport said the investigation is ongoing and rumors of there being other people in the truck has not been confirmed.
"Based on what the family said, there were two [other people] in there, but they were not located at the scene," he said.

Lt. J.L. Cheek with the Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force said Monday a Kingston man was arrested after fleeing officers during a parole search.
Authorities from the Bartow County Sheriff's Office, Cartersville Police Department, Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force and State Parole Office went to do a parole search at the home of Lee McFall, 50, on Highway 411 in Kingston Monday when he fled in a small white car. A short chase ensued, according to Cheek, before McFall was apprehended in the area of Reynolds Bridge Road at Branson Crossing in Kingston.
During the parole search, authorities seized marijuana and meth, along with stolen property. McFall was arrested and charged with fleeing and attempting to elude, driving with suspended license, possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce, possession of meth and theft by receivng stolen property. Other charges are pending and the case remains under investigation.
Candice Perry, 25, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant through Pickens County.
Four arrested in car theft ring
Four repeat probation violators were arrested for their part in a car theft ring in Calhoun and Adairsville, according to Lt. Robert Jones with the Adairsville Police Department. Jones said the APD worked with Calhoun police for about a week and they expect more arrests to come.
Arrested were Tammy Brown Lemming, theft of motor vehicle and party to a crime, and Von Lee Craig, theft by receiving stolen property. He also was caught with $7,000 in stolen motor vehicle property. Also arrested were Donald Williams, theft of motor vehicle and two counts of arson, and Joe Redford, two counts of arson and motor vehicle theft. Jones said the majority of the vehicles stolen were work-type vehicles like a Ford F150. A work van also was stolen from Cherokee County.
Jones said those arrested are currently on probation. "We are investigating further. We believe some were stolen that we haven't been able to connect to theft but feel we will be able to."
The suspects are currently in jail, with no word on bond yet.
Vehicle fire at Longhorns
Officials with the Cartersville Fire Department said that a vehicle fire at Longhorns Restaurant was minor and no one was injured.
Dispatchers received a call at 1:29 p.m. Monday regarding the 1994 white Jeep Cherokee. Lt. Mitchell Bagley said they arrived at 1:32 p.m. and the fire, which started under the hood, was extinguished within five minutes. No other vehicles were involved, however the Jeep was a total loss due to engine damages.
