According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, about 1:45 p.m., deputies and investigators responded to 3A Patterson Drive, Cartersville, in response to a man stabbed and bleeding. Upon arrival, deputies found the 64-year-old resident bleeding from apparent stab wounds. The man was transported to Floyd Medical Center where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
His name is being withheld at press time, pending family notification.
According to Millsap, in an earlier incident just before 11 a.m., deputies and investigators responded to 468 Center Road, Lot 1, Cartersville, to a report of a man lying in the road bleeding.
Further investigation revealed the 51-year-old man had injured himself in his home and had multiple medical issues.
His name is not being released at this time, pending family notification. His condition was not known late Wednesday.
