With support from the Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Department, the occasion marks 175 years of industry in the community.
Tuesday and Thursday there will be Industry Tours open to the general public. Tuesday's tours include TI Automotive and Gerdau Ameristeel. Thursday participants will visit Anheuser-Busch and Americo Manufacturing. Tickets of the tours are $30 for one day and $45 for both days. Lunch and transportation to the plants will be provided. However, space is limited and interested individuals must register early.
Concluding on Friday, a breakfast will be held in the Stilesboro room at the Clarence Brown Conference Center at 7 a.m. Presented by Georgia Work Ready, Manufacturer's Appreciation Week awards will be distributed during the breakfast for the categories of Green, Community Service and Expanding Industry. This year's guest speaker is Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development Gretchen Corbin. For reservations, contact Martha Macon.
