She was born in Ducktown, Tenn., Oct. 26, 1921, daughter of the late John Gilbert and Myrtle Weaver Pruitt. She was a member of Dewey Baptist Church in White and had been employed at Lockheed-Martin Aircraft for 14 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Hugh Clifton Pruitt.
Survivors include a son, Colin Douglas Franklin of North Carolina; three brothers, Harold Gilbert Pruitt of Centre, Ala., Herman Everett Pruitt of Centre, Ala., and Herbert A. Pruitt Sr., of Rocky Face; a sister, Billie Sue Russell of Centre, Ala.; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from Dewey Baptist Church Cemetery, White, with Rev. E. C. Chatham and Rev. Billy Wilson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Herbert Pruitt Jr., Scott Adams, Clipper Smith, Mark Ridley, Bo Pruitt and Buddy Pruitt.
